Update billing, find an invoice, or cancel

Last updated 7 October 2026Paying needs a role that holds Manage on Plan & Billing. Workspace Admin is the only built-in role that does. Every paid plan uses the same checkout.

MarqIQ charges you once per term rather than holding a card and billing you again. That changes all three answers on this page: there is no card on file to update, there is no invoice screen inside MarqIQ, and cancelling means letting the term run out rather than clicking anything. This page says what to do instead in each case, and what happens to your data when you stop.

Before you start

Nothing renews by itself

A payment buys a fixed term and ends there. Monthly is 31 days and yearly is 366 days, counted from the moment the payment clears rather than from the first of the month. MarqIQ stores no card, sets up no direct debit and takes no second payment, so a term you do not pay for again ends on its last day.

Permissions required

Only a role that holds Manage on Plan & Billing can pay. For anyone else the checkout shows the price and says so in place of the payment buttons. Of the ten built-in roles, only Workspace Admin holds it.

Take care

A suspended workspace is refused at checkout, whatever you try to pay with. Suspension is an account hold rather than a billing state, so paying does not lift it. Raise a case from Support instead.

How you pay, and what one payment buys

Each order is a single payment for a single term. The plan, the seat count and the term are decided when you place the order, and the term starts when the payment clears.

CycleTerm lengthWhat you pay
Monthly31 daysThe plan price, plus any extra seats in the same order.
Yearly366 daysTen months for twelve. The toggle on the pricing page is marked 2 months free, and the checkout summary calls it 17% savings.

Both are counted from the payment, not from a calendar boundary.

Note

A seat added part-way through a term is charged only for the days left in it, and it follows the cycle your workspace is already on rather than the one in the link you clicked.

Change how you pay

There is no stored payment method, so you choose one afresh on each order. Three are offered, and which appear depends on the currency you picked.

  1. Open Account & Team in the sidebar.

  2. Choose Plan & billing.

  3. Click Upgrade on the plan you want, or Add seats under the Users bar.

On a trial or an expired workspace the plan button reads Choose plan.

  4. Choose your currency from the list beside the Monthly and Yearly toggle.

MarqIQ suggests one from where you are. The currency decides which payment methods the checkout offers you.

  5. Pick a method under Choose payment method on the right of the checkout.

    • Pay with card (international) — shown for every currency except INR, and marked Recommended there. It charges the amount on screen in the currency you picked.
    • Pay with Razorpay — always shown, and marked Recommended when the currency is INR. It takes cards from any country as well as UPI, net banking and most Indian wallets.
    • Pay with Cashfree — always shown, and charges in INR.
  6. Complete the payment on the provider's own screen.

Card details go to the provider and never reach MarqIQ. The checkout says so under the buttons: payments are processed by providers certified to PCI-DSS Level 1.

Note

Razorpay and Cashfree always charge in INR. If you picked another currency and choose one of them, the amount you are asked for is the exact INR price rather than the converted figure shown beside it.

Which prices are exact, and which are converted

USD and INR are the two anchored prices. Every other currency is worked out from the USD price at a rate stored in MarqIQ, rounded to a clean figure, and shown with a ≈ sign so you can see it is a conversion.

CurrencyExact or convertedWhat is charged
USDExactThe published USD price.
INRExactThe published INR price, through Razorpay or Cashfree.
EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, SGD, AEDConverted from USD, shown with ≈The card gateway charges the converted amount you see, in that currency. Razorpay and Cashfree charge the INR price instead.

Take care

The conversion rates are stored in MarqIQ rather than read live, so the figure you see is the figure charged and does not move between the page and the payment. It does change when we update the rates.

Find an invoice

MarqIQ does not produce an invoice document and has no invoice screen. The sidebar describes Plan & billing as covering invoices; the Subscription screen it opens shows your plan, your usage and the tiers you can move to, and no billing history. This is a gap we would rather you heard here than found while closing your books.

  • The payment provider you paid through holds the record of the charge. Your card statement names it, and its own confirmation carries the amount and the date.
  • For anything your finance team needs on headed paper — a tax invoice, a GST or VAT number, a purchase-order reference — raise a case and ask.
  1. Open Support in the sidebar.

  2. Click New Case.

  3. Choose the Billing Issue category.

  4. Give the date, the amount, the currency and which of the three methods you paid with.

Copy your Workspace ID from Account settings into the case as well. It is a six-digit number and it identifies your workspace without anybody guessing from your company name.

  5. Click Submit Case.

Change the billing contact

There is no billing-contact field. The checkout prefills the name and email of the first account created in your workspace, which is not always the person placing the order, and the payment provider lets you type a different address on its own screen before you pay. Whatever you type there is where that provider sends its confirmation.

Tip

If your finance team should receive the confirmation, type their address on the provider's screen rather than your own. MarqIQ does not email a receipt, so that address is the only one that gets one.

Cancel

There is nothing to cancel and no notice to give. Because a payment buys one term and stops, you cancel by not placing another order. Nothing further is taken from you.

On the day the term ends, the workspace becomes read-only. A red banner at the top of the Subscription screen reads "Your subscription has ended." and names the one action that clears it.

  • Everything you built stays and stays readable: reports, dashboards, field mappings, audit results and the whole sidebar.
  • Changes are blocked across the product.
  • Capture stops at the same moment. New form submissions are refused with "Subscription expired — submissions are paused. Renew under Account settings › Subscription to resume tracking.", so the gap in your data starts the day the term ends rather than the day you notice.
  • Nothing is deleted on a timer. MarqIQ does not prune a workspace for being unpaid, so what you have is still there whenever you renew.
  • Renewing restores both writing and capture immediately, and the usage bars come back on the Subscription screen.

Take care

Purchased seats last only as long as the plan that sold them. A workspace whose term lapses drops to its expired limits rather than keeping the seats it bought last cycle, so a renewal order has to state the seat count again. The checkout starts that number from the seats you already own, so do not reduce it unless you mean to.

What MarqIQ built inside your own tools is yours and is untouched by any of this. Properties created in HubSpot or Marketo, hidden fields added to your forms, the native first-touch workflow and every value written onto a record stay exactly where they are.

If it did not work

The card was declined and the checkout is stuck

Why: A declined card never reaches the success handler, so the button used to stay busy with nothing said. The failure is now reported on the page.

Fix: Read the red message above the payment buttons. It ends "No charge was made — you can try again or use another method." Try a different method from the same three buttons.

The payment went through and the plan did not change

Why: The plan is activated by the provider's confirmation reaching MarqIQ. A page closed mid-way, or a provider outage, can delay it.

Fix: Reload the Subscription screen first: your plan is worked out on each request, so an activation that landed shows up on the next page load. If it still says the old plan, raise a Billing Issue case with the date, the amount and the method.

"This workspace is on Pro until its current term ends"

Why: Changing tier part-way through a paid term is refused on purpose. A mid-term switch has to be priced against the days left and the money already paid, and the checkout cannot work that out.

Fix: Read the rest of that message and raise a case. The wording is "Contact support to change plan and we will work out the difference."

"This workspace already has 3 additional seats. Choose a higher number to add more."

Why: A seat order states the total you want, not how many to add. Asking for a number you already have is nothing to buy.

Fix: Set the number above the seats you already hold. Only the difference is charged.

"There is too little left of this billing term to add seats to it."

Why: A top-up is priced for the days remaining, and near the end of a term that comes to less than the smallest charge a payment provider will take.

Fix: Wait for the renewal and buy the seats with it. The message says so: they will be available to add when it renews.

The workspace is billed under an agreement and checkout refuses it

Why: Enterprise and Partner workspaces have no published prices. Their limits and seat counts are agreed rather than bought.

Fix: The message reads "This workspace is billed under an agreement — talk to us to change its seat count." Raise a case and we will change it for you.

The banner says suspended rather than expired

Why: An administrator suspended the workspace. It is not a billing state, and a new payment is refused while it stands.

Fix: Raise a case from Support. Only support can lift a suspension, and the banner says so rather than offering you a checkout that cannot work.
