Your plan's limits, and what happens when you reach one
Every plan sets three numbers: seats, connected tools and form submissions a month. This page lists them plan by plan, and says what MarqIQ does at each limit. To see what your own workspace has used, or to buy more, read Upgrade your plan or add seats.
The limits, plan by plan
| Plan | Seats | Tools besides Google Tag Manager | Form submissions a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Trial | 5 | 2, one per category | 10,000 |
| Starter | 3 | 1 | 10,000 |
| Pro | 5 | 2, one per category | 100,000 |
| Business | 10 | 4, any category — two CRMs allowed | 500,000 |
| Enterprise | Agreed with you | Of your choice | Agreed with you |
The submission month is a calendar month in UTC.
Note
"One per category" means one CRM and one marketing tool, not two CRMs. Business is the first plan that lets two tools share a category.
Note
Google Tag Manager never counts against the tool allowance. Neither do the AI accounts you connect.
Take care
The Subscription screen shows usage bars for seats and tools only. It does not show your form submissions against the monthly allowance. If you need that figure, ask support for it.
What happens when you reach a limit
| Limit | What happens |
|---|---|
| Seats | The invitation is refused with a message naming your plan, the seats it includes, the seats you have bought and any pending invites. Nothing already in the workspace changes. |
| Tools | Connecting another tool is refused. Tools already connected keep syncing. |
| Form submissions | Nothing is dropped. Submissions past the allowance are accepted, stored and flagged. |
Seats you buy on top
Extra seats are $20 per user per month, or $200 per user per year. They are sold on Starter, Pro and Business. A trial has nothing being billed yet, and Enterprise seat counts are agreed during scoping, so neither offers them.
Purchased seats are added on top of the number your plan includes. The Subscription screen names the two separately once you have bought any, because the included figure is what renews.
Take care
Purchased seats only count while the plan that sells them is live. If a subscription lapses, the workspace drops to its expired limits rather than keeping the seats it bought last cycle.
There is no AI allowance to run out of
No plan meters AI work. Drafting in Template Studio runs on the AI account your workspace connects, so you pay your own provider and MarqIQ counts drafts without capping them.
AI answer visibility checks are different. While they run on MarqIQ's included engines they draw on one pool every workspace shares, so they are rate limited and a single check can ask at most 20 active prompts. Connect your own AI account and both of those limits stop applying, because the run no longer touches the shared pool.
Note
One limit applies either way: a workspace can track 200 prompts. Over that, adding another is refused and the prompts you already track keep running.
What a trial or a lapsed subscription looks like
- A free trial lasts 14 days from sign-up, carries the Pro feature set, seats 5 people and connects 2 tools.
- When a subscription ends, the workspace goes read-only. The whole sidebar stays, so you can still read everything you built.
- Capture stops at the same moment. New form submissions are refused with "Subscription expired — submissions are paused. Renew under Account settings › Subscription to resume tracking.", so the gap in your data starts the day the term ends.
- A red banner at the top of the Subscription screen names the reason and the one action that clears it.
Note
An expired workspace loses the Usage card on the Subscription screen altogether. The seat and tool bars come back when you renew.
Take care
A suspended workspace is not an expired one. Suspension is a deliberate account hold, it carries its own banner wording, and paying does not clear it — checkout refuses a suspended workspace. Raise a case from Support.
