Read agent reports in your inbox, and stop the emails

Last updated 21 October 2026Every plan. The inbox is yours: it holds the reports of the agents you are a recipient of. Reading it needs View on Prebuilt Reports, the grant every agent reads on.

Every report an agent delivers to you lands in your inbox, under Agents › Inbox in the left-hand menu, whether or not it was also emailed. This article opens the inbox, then turns the emails off — for one agent, for all of them, or during your quiet hours — and says what a bounce or a spam report does. To set an agent up, read Get the Monday Brief by email.

Open your inbox

  1. Open Agents in the left-hand menu, then Inbox.

The Inbox is a hover entry of Agents. The Agents page links it too, in the sentence under its heading.

  2. Click a row to open its report.

Rows are newest first, fifty at a time; Show older loads the next fifty. An unread row is in bold, and opening it marks it read.

Note

MarqIQ keeps each report for 90 days. After that its row stays in the inbox, and opening it says the report was removed; the run itself stays listed under the agent with its counts.

Note

The notification bell at the foot of the menu counts your unread agent reports with your other notifications, and one line in its list — N unread agent reports in your inbox — opens the inbox. The Agents row carries no count of its own.

Stop the emails for one agent, or for all

A workspace admin decides who receives an agent. Only you decide whether it emails you, and every switch below is for your login alone.

  1. Open Account settings.

Click your name at the foot of the left-hand menu.

  2. Find the Notifications card.

It lists every agent you receive with an Email, an In-app and a Slack switch, then Every agent with the same three switches, then Quiet hours. The Slack switch does something only once a workspace admin has connected Slack under Agents; the card says so when it has not.

  3. Turn Email off beside the agent you no longer want by email.

Its reports still reach your inbox. Turn In-app off as well and nothing of that agent reaches you.

  4. Turn Email off under Every agent to stop every agent email at once.

While that master switch is off, the per-agent email switches are greyed out; turn the master back on first to use them again.

Every agent email also carries an unsubscribe link, at its foot and as the Unsubscribe button your mail client shows. It opens a page with two choices — stop this kind of email, or stop every email from MarqIQ agents — and the mail client’s own one-click button stops the kind in that email. In-app reports are not affected, and either choice can be turned back on under Account settings › Notifications.

Hold emails during your quiet hours

  1. Fill in From and Until under Quiet hours, on the workspace clock.

  2. Click Save.

An email or a Slack DM that would land inside those hours waits until they end — at most twelve hours, so a Monday brief held past noon is sent anyway. In-app reports are never held.

  3. Click Clear to have no quiet hours.

What a bounce or a spam report does

  • An address the email provider reports as permanently bounced goes on a suppression list, and no agent emails it again. A temporary bounce is noted on the delivery and suppresses nothing.
  • An address that reports an agent email as spam is suppressed too, and every agent email is switched off for that person, so the Every agent switch reads off. Turning it back on is that person’s own choice.
  • The suppression list holds the lower-cased address, the provider’s reason and the event id, nothing else.

If it did not work

An old report says This report was removed 90 days after the run

Why: MarqIQ keeps agent reports for 90 days, then removes them; the run stays in the list with its counts.

Fix: Nothing to fix. Run the agent again with Run now for today’s figures. If the report also reached you by email, that email still holds it.

The inbox reads No report has reached you yet

Why: You are not a recipient of any agent, or none you receive has run yet.

Fix: Ask a workspace admin to add you under Agents › Change on the agent. The Notifications card says You are not a recipient of any agent yet while that is so.

An agent sits under Notifications with paused by an admin

Why: The agent itself is off: an admin turned it off, or a run paused it because its tool was disconnected.

Fix: Nothing on your side. The admin turns it on under Agents; your own switches keep their setting.

The Email switch is on but no email comes

Why: Your address is suppressed after a bounce or a spam report, your quiet hours are holding it, or the server’s sending settings are not set yet — in which case every run’s delivery is skipped with the setting named, and the in-app report still arrives.

Fix: Read the report in the inbox. Open the agent’s run under Agents › Last runs: the delivery row says suppressed, held or skipped and why. A suppressed address is lifted by support.

The unsubscribe page says the link cannot be used right now

Why: Unsubscribe links are signed with a setting the server does not have yet, so the page changes nothing rather than guess.

Fix: Turn the email switch off under Account settings › Notifications instead; it does the same.
